My foundation was built in Quality Management. For years, I served as a Quality Manager, immersing myself in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS). I developed and refined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) that turned complex processes into reliable, repeatable excellence. In high‑stakes environments like the NHS, I crafted robust policies that ensured compliance, patient safety, and operational efficiency.

This passion for governance and risk naturally evolved into cybersecurity. I pursued dedicated studies and hands‑on experience in GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) and ISMS (Information Security Management Systems) — bridging the gap between physical‑world precision and cyber resilience. I’ve implemented controls that protect sensitive data, mitigate threats, and ensure organisations meet stringent regulatory standards.

One area that particularly excites me is tracking and traceability software. In both quality and security domains, visibility is everything. I’ve designed and supported solutions that provide end‑to‑end transparency — turning data into a strategic advantage.

I am Stephen, a seasoned Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) professional with over 15 years of hands‑on experience helping organisations build robust, resilient compliance and risk frameworks that stand up to regulatory scrutiny and business challenges.

Throughout my career, I have specialised in translating complex regulations into practical, actionable strategies. I’ve led GRC programme implementations, strengthened control environments, and delivered regulatory interpretation that enables organisations to not only meet requirements but truly embed compliance into their culture. My expertise spans financial crime compliance, GDPR and data governance, conduct risk, MI reporting, and governance oversight.
